History Mobile at at VHS Print E-mail

What are you doing the Saturday after Thanksgiving?  If you are like me, by that time I am stuffed full of turkey, tired of being inside the house, and looking for something interesting to do with my family and out-of-town guests.  I invite you to visit the Virginia Historical Society on Saturday, November 26, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., to see the HistoryMobile .  The HistoryMobile is an interactive "museum on wheels" housed in a 53' expandable tractor-trailer.  It was organized by the Virginia Sesquicentennial of the American Civil War Commission .  The mobile museum made its debut in late July and has been touring the state ever since.  One of the last public stops for the HistoryMobile in 2011 will be at the VHS.  The tractor-trailer will be parked in front of the VHS building and society staff involved with its creation will be on hand to answer questions.  If you haven't seen a mobile museum before, this is a great opportunity.  This special one-time only event is free and open to the public.  I hope to see you at the VHS on November 26.
