The Bay School Community Arts Center, located on Main Street in Mathews, will host a new event called "Art Around Town" September 16-October 22.  This is a competition for local businesses, civic or non-profit organizations in Mathews.  The goal of the show is to spark friendly competition and to bring shy artists out into the public.  Each organization will be represented by their employees/members who have the chance to win a People's Choice Award for the organization they are representing.  This award will be displayed at the winning organization, for one year.

All forms of media are welcome, but subject to approval by the Bay School.  Only one piece per artist.

Entry forms must be received no later than Friday, September 2 with artwork dropped off no later than Tuesday, September 13.  Artwork can be delivered to the Bay School, 279 Main St.  The artwork should be priced for sale or marked NFS (Not For Sale).  The Bay School retains a 30% commission on all show sales.

Artists are encouraged to attend the awards reception on Saturday, October 22, from 4-6PM.  At this time the trophy/plaque will be awarded to the organization to which the winner belongs.
