Saturday, October 1 is the date set for the 13^th Annual Auction supporting the Bay School Community Arts Center.  Toddsbury, the historic home of Breck and Mary Montague on the North River in Gloucester, is the magnificent venue for the Roaring 20’s themed event.  An elegant and abundant menu and fully stocked bar will be served throughout the evening.

New artists as well as favorites from the past have offered their fine art for your bidding.  Trips, dinners and more will tempt you to raise your paddle or to bid in the silent auction.

Urbanna glass artist, Wanda Hollberg, is our featured artist. She is an architectural glass artist with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from VCU. As the owner of Greenwood Stained Glass since 1979, she has created many commissions for homes, churches and businesses up and down the East Coast. Numerous gallery exhibits including the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts have displayed her fine work. In 2000, the Virginia Department of Tourism selected her as an exchange artist between France and Virginia.

This Roaring 20’s event will be exciting -- you won't want to miss the fun. At the same time you are enjoying an evening on the beautiful water of our area, your ticket cost and winning bids will allow the Bay School to continue to operate and to support outreach programs in our community, schools and nursing homes.  Tickets will be available September 1 for $65 per person.

The Bay School Board consists of Gary Edmondson, Marjorie Hayes, Patty Rosenberg, Bill Booker, Amanda Taylor, Mary Ann Carr, Adele Pogue, Susan Hill, George Groseclose, Linda Digges, Kay Gerehart and Dan Desmond.
