The Mathews Farmer's Market will host a rain barrel building workshop on Saturday April 30th at 10am on the old Court Green in Mathews.  Along with the rain barrel workshop, Beverly Holmberg, the local "bug lady," will be on hand to answer everything you ever wanted to know about mosquitos.

The rain barrel workshop will start with a demo at 10am by Graham Hood.  Participants will receive written instructions on the process of building and then be given the materials and tools to build their own barrel during the workshop.  Skilled rain barrel helpers will be on hand to assist the participants and ask questions.

Barrels and materials needed to make the rain barrel will be included in the cost of the workshop.  The cost of the workshop is $35 per barrel.

Reservations are a must so materials can be provided.  Deadline for reservations for material is Thursday, April 26th.  Please call the Mathews Memorial Library at 804-725-5747 to make a reservation.
