The Mathews Art Group announces that applications (with entry fees) for MAG's Annual Miniature Show and Exhibit are due Monday, May 2nd.
The juried competition, which is open to all, will feature artwork with miniature details that show a high standard or design and mastery of the chosen media, colors and technique.
Cash awards range from $50 for honorable mention, $75 for second place to $100 first prize awarded in both fine arts and fine craft catogories. The entry fee is $8 per entry for MAG members and $10 per entry for non-members, with a reduced entry fee for multiple entries.

Sculpture and fine craft miniatures must not exceed 6"x6"x6, image size for miniature paintings must not exceed 5"x7". Mats and frames should be in proportion to the work. All work must be original; copies and reproductions will not be accepted. Artist may submit up to four (4) works in any combination of the following categories: watercolor, oil, drawing, sculpture, acrylic, fine craft, pastel, mixed media.
Artwork must be delivered to The Gallery between Monday, May 9th and Tuesday May 10th.
Judging by Pamela Crosby-Smith will take place on Thursday, May 12th and will be followed by an opening reception and award ceremony Friday, May 13th from 5 to 7 p.m.
