Vineyards by the Fountain

Newport News, VA – Celebrate the fruits of the vineyard at the fifth annual Wine Festival on Saturday, September 25, 1:00 to 6:00 PM by the fountain stage at City Center in Oyster Point. Vineyards by the Fountain offers an array of wines from around the world including varieties from Australia, France, Italy, South Africa, Spain, and the fertile soils of America’s Pacific Northwest regions.  Returning for its third year, the Beer Garden will give curious connoisseurs of the world’s oldest beverage a chance to sample craft beers.
 
Eight stations will be set up across the grounds – one for each country with two additional areas featuring dessert and sparkling wines which have become widely popular at the annual event that boasts delicious food, great music, and good company. Vendors will have food on site available for purchase including Omar’s Carriage House offering great pairings to complement the wine samples. Cabot Creamery Cooperative will be on site to offer an array of cheese to sample for festival patrons. Food and other beverages will be available for purchase on site. Wines by the bottle will also be available for purchase.
 
Tasters’ tickets including a souvenir tasting glass are $25 in advance, $30 day of at the gate. Non-Tasters’ admission is $15. Cash Only On-Site. Tickets are available at Taste Unlimited and AROMAS Specialty Coffees and Bakery at City Center in Newport News, online at ticketmaster.com or by calling 800-982-2787.

Host your clients or entertain your friends in one of our ‘Hospitality Chalets’ for $750 which includes 10 x 10 chalet with table, seating for 8, a gift bag, and VIP parking for up to 4 vehicles. Table reservations for 8 are also available for $320. For tables or chalets call Jenny LeHew at 757-282-2818 by September 12.
 
Patrons must be 21+ to purchase or consume alcohol. Proper identification is required. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. No carry-in alcoholic beverages or tables, patrons may bring chairs, blankets, and picnic baskets. No pets are allowed. The event is on - rain or shine.
