The Mathews Art Group has named Bobbi McElroy as manager of The Gallery (MAG) at 206 Main St..

McElroy, a Hallieford resident, brings to The Gallery considerable experience from several art-related community ventures, notably the Open Studio Tour, the “Made In Mathews” concept and the Mathews Visitors Center. 

By creating outlets for area artists and publicizing local talent, McElroy has demonstrated that art can attract tourists to Mathews. Her background in advertising, public relations, marketing and hospitality promises to be invaluable in energizing The Gallery.

“What I do best is to make it possible for artists to do their best”, said McElroy who succeeds the late Patty Zierow who was Gallery Manager from its inception some 17 years ago until her death in July.
