Our congratulations to the following winners of our Third Annual Most Pleasant Life Photo Contest! One hundred and ninety photographs crossed our desks, ten made the finals, and 470 PL readers selected the three winners below. No doubt, it was a difficult decision for our readers! The photo quality was exceptional!

Our 2010 Photo Contest officially kicks off in this issue, so if you are an avid or an occasional photographer, send us those photos that capture the wonder and joy of the pleasant life. See below for submission information.

HOW TO ENTER OUR 2010 PHOTO CONTEST

If you’ve captured touching, funny or unforgettable moments on film, we’d love to see them—in color or black and white—and we’ll gladly enter them in our Fourth Annual 2010 Most Pleasant Life Photo Contest. Beginning November 2010, PL readers will have the chance to vote on their favorites to win. First, second and third place winners (and their prizes!) will be announced in March 2011.

Here’s how to submit.  Submit photos by e-mail to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it in jpg or tif files in reasonably high resolution (300 dpi is best). No more than three images in one e-mail, please. Be sure to put “PL Photo Contest 2010” in the e-mail subject line. Each photo must include the following: a caption, photographer’s name, name(s) of persons in the photo, contact name, address, phone number and e-mail address. Hardcopy prints are also welcome in color or black and white, 5 x 7’ or smaller. Send to 5 South First Street, Richmond, Virginia 23219. Photos will be appearing in the magazine and posted online in black and white only.
