Robert Pruett
Founder, Editor and Publisher, fell in love with the Northern Neck on his first visit in 1973, and ever since, has lived in the region full or part-time. He currently divides his time between White Stone and Richmond. Robert brings over two decades of publishing experience to PL. As president of Brandylane Publishers, Inc, a book publishing firm he founded in 1985, he has published dozens of books in various genres for the marketplace. He holds an M.A. in English from Virginia Commonwealth University and is a published essayist and poet. He has three children, Jess, Benjamin and Alyssa, all of whom grew up in Lancaster County.
Nancy Moore
Advertising Sales Director, has lived in Deltaville since 1989, where she, husband Steve, and children Harley and Quinlan, have renovated an old Victorian home. She worked as a pharmaceutical sales representative for twenty years before giving up that position for the quieter life. She holds a degree in business and psychology from Furman University.
Mary A. “Annie” Tobey
Associate Editor, brings to PL a passion for the written word and for peaceful country living, along with her experiences as a professional writer and teacher. She holds a B.A. in English from the University of Richmond, where she also earned a secondary teaching certificate in English, speech, and drama. She published her first book in 1990, For Any Young Mother Who Lives in a Shoe, and has published numerous articles in local and national periodicals. In addition to her work with PL, she is editor of V Magazine for Women and senior editor for Brandylane Publishers, Inc. She has three college-age children and two energetic Australian shepherds.
Tom Trenz
Creative Director and owner of Trenz Advertising and Creative, has created award winning advertising campaigns, graphics and presentation material for many national clients. He has been a leader in the advertising, marketing, design and photography industry for over twenty years. Tom’s love for the outdoors often leads him to travel, fish and explore the pristine beauty of the River County.
Marie Stephens
Manager and bookkeeper in our White Stone office, has lived in Irvington since 1987. She has two children and three grandchildren, several of whom live in Irvington. Marie has been with PL since 1996.
